Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
To work as part of a team to undertake Traffic Management duties all aspects of highway maintenance, construction and contract work.
 
The successful candidate will be required to;
Undertake specific footway works including reconstruction & slurry sealing, carriageway patching, drainage, masonry, emergency and highways maintenance tasks.
Undertake a leading hand role within the designated gang
To be available for our of hours standby duties
Use of relevant plant and small tools (training provided)
Provide general support and assistance to skilled and specialist operatives
Work in accordance with the Company health, Safety & Environmental Policy
 
Formal qualifications required;
CSCS
12D Traffic Management Card
T1, T2, T3, T4
Full Driving Licence
 
Skills required;
The successful candidate will have good people skills and have an excellent level of customer focus.
 
Experience required;
The successful candidate will have good experience of Highways and Traffic Management.
 
Knowledge;
You will have good knowledge of Plymouth City and a good understanding of Health & Safety. Knowledge of ACOP Red Book, Chapter 8 and Streetworks.
 
Personal qualities;
You will have a positive and hard working attitude with the ability to work with Gangs.

At all times to adhere to company procedures with regard to Health & Safety and where applicable to ensure all team members do likewise.
