Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
We are looking to recruit 5 permanent Operatives working from Prince Rock, Plymouth delivering services for Plymouth City Council throughout the local road network.
In this role you will various maintenance works including footway construction and repair, carriageway pot hold and patching, drainage, masonry, emergency and maintenance tasks and the installation of low speed temporary traffic management. It could be you are already experienced in this type of work with a valid CSCS card, 12D Traffic Management Card and Streetworks.

Having an HGV would be great but if not we will pay for you to obtain this (time and cost of training). In return we ask for you to commit to achieving this as quickly as possible. We offer lots of on the job training so there is plenty of scope for you to learn, grow and progress in the role.
Our teams work 40 hour p/week Monday to Friday 8 hours p/day. There is the opportunity for overtime to enhance your earnings, including occasional nights shifts and call outs again with overtime rates applying. During winter months we also carry out essential winter services i.e. gritting.
